To maintain a high-quality aquatic experience, the City of Sydney will replace the heat exchanger in the 50-metre outdoor pool at Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 July 2025.
The pool will remain open during this time, but you may notice a change in water temperature.
These works are part of ongoing improvements to maintain the safety, efficiency and performance of our facilities.
What you need to know
• The heat exchanger will be replaced, which regulates the water temperature of the 50-metre outdoor pool
• Works will occur over two days, with the pool remaining open during this time
• No heat will be supplied to the pool on these days, which will likely result in cooler water temperatures than usual
• All other pools and facilities at the centre will be open as usual
• If you prefer to swim in a heated pool, you’re welcome to use any of the other during this time
• There will be no impact to domestic hot water for the showers
Our team will be available in-centre during the works to answer questions and share updates.
