Scheduled remedial works on the flooring within the gym will take place at Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre, commencing Monday 8 June 2026.
Whilst the works are taking place, sections of the gym floor and group exercise studios will be temporarily unavailable at different times. Other facilities within the centre will operate as normal during this time.
We understand these works may impact your routine, and we’re committed to providing alternative options to ensure you can continue your fitness activities.
Schedule of impacts
Monday 8 June
The Functional Studio (Studio 4) will be temporarily unavailable from 1pm on Monday 8 June until Tuesday 16 June. From this time, it will reopen as a temporary free weights area until remedial works are complete.
From Tuesday 9 June
The stretch area located in the corridor connecting the free weights area to the spin studio will become temporarily unavailable.
Stretch equipment will be re-located to a space in the cardio area. Alternatively, users can access studio 3 when not in use.
360 functional group exercise classes will become temporarily unavailable for the duration of the remedial works.
Alternate 360 functional bootcamp classes will run outdoors and will be available to book online. The classes run Monday to Sunday 7am to 7:45am.
Alternatively, 360 Pro members can continue to access the full functional group timetables at Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre, Cook + Phillip Park Pool and Victoria Park Pool.
Disruptions to available parking on Zetland Ave, including disabled parking spots, may occur on Tuesday 9 June and Wednesday 10 June.

Monday 15 June
The gym facility will be temporarily unavailable on Monday 15 June from 1pm, reopening on Tuesday 16 June.
Group exercise classes that regularly run in studio 1 (spin studio) will become temporarily unavailable for the remainder of the remedial works.
360 Pro members can continue to access the full cycle timetables at Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre and Victoria Park Pool
Tuesday 16 June
Temporary access and layout changes to the gym floor will commence. Directional signage will be available in-centre to guide users.
Pin stack machines and free weights can be accessed and used in Studio 1 and Studio 4.
If a preferred machine is unavailable during this period, users are encouraged to speak with staff on the gym floor who can suggest alternate exercises or movements for the same muscle group.
Tuesday 30 June
The gym will be temporarily closed between Tuesday 30 June from 6am, reopening from 1pm in the afternoon
