We are committed to maintaining and improving our facilities to ensure the best experience for our members and visitors.

From Monday 22 June to Monday 29 June 2026, planned maintenance works will take place at Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre.

The centre will remain open throughout the works period, with all programs continuing as normal. There will be a temporary closure of the Indoor Leisure Pool on Tuesday 23 June to facilitate maintenance works. All other pools will remain open.

Works will include maintenance to pool surrounds, cleaning of outdoor shade sails and isolated building upgrades.

During the works, members and visitors may notice:

• Temporary exclusion zones around sections of pool surrounds from 6pm each evening (22 to 26 June).

• Minor adjustments to poolside entry and exit areas

• Contractors working throughout the centre

• Minor noise and visual disruption

Accessible Bathroom/Changeroom Impact (24 to 26 June)

The accessible bathroom/changeroom located between reception and the Hydro Pool will be temporarily unavailable from 24 to 26 June while replacement doors are installed and painted.

The alternative accessible bathroom/changeroom with the pool hoist inside the Hydro Pool area will remain available, as well as the pool hoist on the edge of the Hydro Pool for customers requiring assisted pool entry outside of scheduled program times.

The Hydro Pool will remain open and operational and our team will be available to assist customers during this period.

Pool Surround Work Schedule (22 to 26 June)

The Indoor Leisure Pool will be temporarily closed on Tuesday 23 June 2026 to facilitate maintenance works. 

All other pools will remain open and available for use during the works. Temporary exclusion zones will be required from 6pm until centre close in the following locations:

Clear signage will be displayed throughout the centre and our team will be available to assist where required.
