No matter what your age, leading a healthy lifestyle is important for everyone.

When you have kids, it can be extra challenging in regard to finding the time to exercise on a regular basis.

However if you and your family can maintain an active and healthy program, there are some wonderful rewards.

1. Lead by example
Kids always look up to their parents and often mimic their behaviours and habits.

This is motivation enough to stay in shape and and live a healthy lifestyle so as to act as a positive role model for your kids.

By getting your kids into healthy habits early in life, it is more likely they will grow up into healthy and active adults.

And by showing your kids the importance of staying healthy, you will set them up for success for the rest of their life.

2. Be active together
Exercising together opens up a new world of different activities the whole family can do together:

  • Go on a hike or do a bike ride,

  • Play a game of tennis, basketball or go for a swim,

  • For older kids, do some weight training or even join a gym together,

  • Go to the park, have a run or just throw around a ball.

These activities can be a terrific bonding moment and will provide you and your kids precious memories for life.

3. Train Together, Stay Together
Think about all the wonderful benefits regular training brings.

More confidence, greater stamina, manage weight, boost strength and improve mental health.

Many studies show healthy people are happier and feel better about life.

Being happy has a flow on effect in all areas of your life and this is a huge positive step in your relationship with those who mean the most to you.

4. More energy

Keeping up with the kids takes a lot of time and a lot of energy. By being healthy means you will be able to keep up with the kids and encourage them to stay active and keep moving.

By staying active in their life, this enhances your relationship and ensures exercise plays an important role as the kids grow older.

5. Longer life

Let’s face it, you want to be around as long as possible to see your kids grow up and enjoy everything life has to offer.

Staying in shape means you will be there for the long term and be there for the precious moments in their life. Not just for your kids, but your grandkids too.
