Yabun (“music to a beat” in Gadigal language) celebrates both traditional and modern Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. The festival brings everyone together in a vibrant, inclusive space featuring live music, a corroboree ground, a speak-out tent, market stalls, local artists, kids' activities, authentic Indigenous arts and crafts and more.

With over 40,000 attendees in past years, the event attracts more than 2,000 visitors to the pool alone.

Yabun will take place on Sunday 26 January from 10am to 6pm, and Victoria Park Pool is offering free entry for all visitors, all day (excluding group exercise classes).

Victoria Park Pool will experience increased patronage through the centre on the day, and availability for lap swimming will be limited. We encourage the use of other City of Sydney pools for lap swimmers on this day.

Availability of parking will also be limited, including the accessible spaces adjacent to the centre.

Event setup will take place from Monday 20 January to Thursday 23 January, with no impact on access to the centre. Victoria Park Pool and the park’s parking area will remain open throughout.
